Code of Conduct
All employees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully at all times. This includes interactions with colleagues, supervisors, customers, and visitors to our facility.
Expected Behaviour
- Treat all colleagues with dignity and respect regardless of position, gender, ethnicity, or religion.
- Follow all safety protocols and production procedures without exception.
- Report any unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or policy violations to your supervisor immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your work area at all times.
- Protect company property, materials, and confidential information.
Working Hours & Shifts
The factory operates on a three-shift rotation to ensure continuous production. All production staff are assigned to shifts on a rotating basis.
Shift Schedule
- Morning Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 22:00
- Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:00
Administrative and sales staff work standard hours from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday.
Health & Safety
Your safety is our top priority. P99 Ltd. complies with all requirements under the Factories, Offices and Shops Act, 1970 (Act 328) and related workplace safety regulations.
General Safety Rules
- Never operate any machine without proper training and authorisation.
- Keep all machine guards and safety devices in place during operation.
- Report all injuries, no matter how minor, to your supervisor and the Site Manager.
- Keep all fire exits, aisles, and emergency equipment unobstructed.
- No eating, drinking, or smoking on the production floor.
- Long hair must be tied back and secured. Loose clothing and jewellery are prohibited near machinery.
Machine-Specific Safety
Extrusion and injection moulding machines operate at extremely high temperatures. Always follow lockout/tagout procedures before performing any maintenance or clearing jams. Never reach into a machine while it is running or cooling down.
PPE Requirements
Personal protective equipment is mandatory for all personnel on the production floor. The company provides all required PPE at no cost to employees.
Required PPE by Area
- All production areas: Safety boots (steel-toe), high-visibility vest, ear protection.
- Machine operators: All of the above plus safety goggles, heat-resistant gloves.
- Packers & baggers: All general PPE plus dust masks when handling raw materials.
- Visitors: Safety boots, high-visibility vest, and hard hat.
Leave & Time Off
Annual Leave
All employees are entitled to a minimum of 15 working days of paid annual leave per year, in accordance with the Ghana Labour Act. Leave must be requested at least two weeks in advance and approved by your supervisor.
Sick Leave
Employees are entitled to paid sick leave upon presentation of a valid medical certificate. Notify your supervisor as early as possible on the day of absence.
Public Holidays
The company observes all Ghanaian public holidays. Production staff required to work on public holidays will receive double-time compensation.
Maternity / Paternity Leave
Female employees are entitled to 12 weeks of maternity leave with full pay. Male employees are entitled to 5 days of paternity leave.
Disciplinary Procedure
The company follows a progressive disciplinary procedure designed to be fair and transparent:
- Step 1 — Verbal Warning: Documented conversation with your supervisor about the issue.
- Step 2 — Written Warning: Formal written notice detailing the infraction and expected improvement.
- Step 3 — Final Written Warning: Last formal notice before termination; may include suspension.
- Step 4 — Termination: Employment is ended following proper procedure under the Labour Act.
Emergency Procedures
Fire
If you discover a fire: raise the alarm, evacuate via the nearest marked exit, assemble at the designated muster point in the car park, and do not re-enter the building until cleared by the Site Manager.
Injury
For any workplace injury: administer basic first aid if trained, contact the on-site first aider, notify the Site Manager, and complete an incident report form within 24 hours.
